The hotel occupies floors 16 to 26 of the WATERS takeshiba tower, with guest rooms from the 17th floor upward. You can have dinner at Chef’s Theatre, move across the same floor to Whisk for a cocktail and live performance, then return to a room where the piano is available to play.

WATERS takeshiba Brings Theatre and the Waterfront Together
WATERS takeshiba combines mesm Tokyo with atré Takeshiba, the JR East Shiki Theatres HARU and AKI, the JIYU Theatre, a public plaza, a pier and the Takeshiba tidal flat.
Hamarikyu Gardens lies across the water from the hotel, with its tidal pond drawing seawater from Tokyo Bay. The Sumida River runs beside it. This setting provides the physical basis for mesm Tokyo’s “TOKYO WAVES” concept.
A theatre performance can be followed by drinks at Whisk, while the plaza, pier and waterfront paths give the following morning a setting beyond the hotel tower.

Chapter 1 to 4: Room Size, Balconies and Garden Views
The hotel groups its 265 rooms into four “Chapters.” Chapter 1 measures 40 square metres and is available with either a king bed or twin beds. Chapter 2 offers 43 to 44 square metres, a king bed and a layout designed for easier movement around the sleeping area.
Chapter 3 Suite is a 95-square-metre corner suite with separate living, dining and sleeping areas plus a balcony. On the 26th floor, Chapter 4 Suite Luxe spans 180 square metres and adds a 65-square-metre balcony.
Garden views and balconies are not standard across every Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 room. If Hamarikyu or waterfront scenery is part of the reason for booking, look for “Garden View” and “Balcony” in the room name.
Every room includes a CASIO Privia 88-key digital piano. Sarutahiko Coffee and matcha from Maiko Tea are provided for guests to prepare in the room. Bathrooms include BULK HOMME bath products and bath salts from NEHAN TOKYO.
Disposable toothbrushes are no longer placed in the rooms. BUBBLE MOUTHWASH is provided as an alternative oral-care product.

An Evening Between Chef’s Theatre and Whisk
Chef’s Theatre is the hotel’s 16th-floor French restaurant. Its open kitchen supports a bistronomy format that combines the accessibility of a bistro with gastronomic technique. Seasonal ingredients and changing programme themes shape the menus.
The theatre reference also fits the hotel’s place within WATERS takeshiba. From the window side of the restaurant, daytime greenery gives way to the river lights after dark.
Whisk, on the same floor, is a bar and lounge designed around the idea of an artist’s studio. Its menu includes mixology cocktails inspired by paintings, afternoon tea, parfaits and light meals.
The lobby hosts the live performance series “Showcase” every evening. Dinner, cocktails and music can therefore form one continuous plan on the 16th floor without requiring another journey across Tokyo.
Club mesm and the 24-Hour Fitness Room
Club mesm is a private salon on the 25th floor, open to hotel guests aged 20 and over. Indoor seating leads to an open terrace facing the bay area and Tokyo skyline.
The cover charge is JPY 1,500 per person and includes three amuse-bouches. Japanese whisky, domestic craft beer, Japanese tea, Sarutahiko Coffee and light dishes are ordered separately.
The 17th-floor fitness room is reserved for staying guests and is accessible 24 hours a day with a room key. The hotel’s on-site wellness facilities centre on this fitness room; there is no hotel spa or swimming pool.

Walking Access from Hamamatsucho, Takeshiba and Daimon
mesm Tokyo is located at 1-10-30 Kaigan, Minato-ku, Tokyo.
The hotel is approximately six minutes on foot from the North Exit of Hamamatsucho Station, served by the JR Yamanote Line, Keihin-Tohoku Line and Tokyo Monorail. Takeshiba Station on the Yurikamome Line is about three minutes away, while Daimon Station on the Toei Oedo and Asakusa lines is about seven minutes away via exits B1 or B2.
From Haneda Airport, the Tokyo Monorail provides a direct rail journey to Hamamatsucho. The location combines a waterfront and theatre district with straightforward access to the Yamanote Line for journeys elsewhere in central Tokyo.
Compare the View and Room Category Before Booking
The digital piano, coffee, matcha and bath products are shared features across the guest rooms. The principal differences between booking categories are space, view, balcony access and suite benefits.
Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 include selected Garden View and Balcony categories within their 40 to 44 square metres. Chapter 3 adds separate living and dining spaces and a substantial balcony. Chapter 4 offers the hotel’s largest accommodation and balcony.
